Splitting Velcro tells the story of Max and Joseph, two childhood friends from opposite sides of the track in the small college town of Athens, Georgia. But when Max, the quiet artist, and Joseph, the star quarterback, find their relationship morphing into something much deeper – the consequences are as dark and staggering as the woods where their friendship first began. Questions of love, secrets, community, friendship, partying, pain, sex and betrayal surround them as they grow from elementary school adolescents to young adults facing real-life choices.
